Why? Unlike it’s beautiful 5″ cousin this one has far too much surface area to be doing the same thing while being made out of the same “modest” materials. This case crumples easily under <5 lbs of pressure due to the less than rugged nature of this casing. It's like a cardboard box protecting an egg. You can load it with foam to bolster it out and it'll do the job, but I'd never travel with this, it's too risky.

I was kind of bummed to get brown, and some kind of strap would be handy (I didn’t see the option for the one with the compartments until if placed my order) but I can easily add my own.
